Peace of Mind.

Quality, professionally managed childcare makes Mums Squad special.

You leave instructions, get feedback and develop relationships with nannies you know so you feel free to concentrate on getting fit.

If your baby or toddler needs you, you'll be called from the session but with our nannies it just doesn't happen very often.

Childcare Ratios

Babies and Toddlers are cared for separately, with 1 nanny for every 5 children, though the ratio is often much better than that.

Systems & Policies

Pram cards record your instructions with nanny feedback on the back. We do working with children checks and have a full range of childcare policies.

Baby Childcare Questions

How old does my baby need to be?

Our nannies have lots of experience looking after babies from 6 weeks old so you can start any time after your 6 week check up.

Bringing Your Baby To Mums Squad

Babies and toddlers are cared for separately so dedicated nannies care for the babies without distraction while you concentrate on your workout.

Session instructions for your baby are recorded on our “Baby Pram Cards” and carried out as required. At the end of the session, feedback from our nannies is recorded on the back of the our Pram Cards so that you can plan the rest of your day.

Things to Bring & Helpful Hints for Babies at Mums Squad

  • It really helps if your baby has been fed before the session.

  • If your baby has a bottle please bring one with you and let the Nanny know where you keep it.
  • Please leave any comforters (like a dummy or a cloth) with the Nannies.
  • If age appropriate, bring some biscuits to keep them pacified until you can feed your baby properly after the session.
  • Bring a blanket to keep them warm along with nappies, wipes and a portable change mat, in case they need changing.
  • A hat is an important item to protect them from the sun.
  • Your pram will play an important part in your baby’s sessions. It will be used as an area that your child can return to to sleep, eat or just relax. So please don’t forget to bring it along to every session.
  • Please do not balance or hang any bags on the back of your child’s pram. It can easily tip over.

What if it rains?

All our sessions have wet weather options so that your baby or toddler can be kept under cover if it threatens to rain.

At Mums Squad fitness sessions your baby stays dry and so do you. You can see our wet weather plan for every session at the bottom of the Timetable.

How far away am I during the session?

You are never exercising too far away from your baby. Many mums bring toddlers so as a guideline we exercise just out of eyesight, but if you want to be closer while you get to know our nannies please just mention it to your trainer. They will keep the session as close as possible and send you back to our nannies to check on your baby if you would like to.

What If My Baby Cries?

Babies sometimes cry when left with our nannies, especially if it is the first time they they have been away from you. Our nannies will do all they can to console your little one. If they can’t they will come and get you. This happens from time to time, but less and less as your baby becomes familiar with Mums Squad.

Changing Nappies

If your child has a soiled nappy our staff will change the baby's nappy. Please tell the nannies or if you prefer to be called out of the session to change the nappy.

What About Hygiene?

Our toys and blankets are cleaned and rotated regularly each week or as needed.

Childcare Ratio

Babies and Toddlers are cared for separately so their needs can be properly met without distraction. We have a ratio of 5 children to each Nanny but it is usually much better than that.

Working With Children Checks

All the nannies and trainers who work for us have be been checked under “Working With Children” requirements.

Childcare Policies

Mums Squad is nut free and you can not bring sick children. Only the person who sign your baby in can pick them up and we have a full range of policies. Follow the links to see the full details of each policy.

What happens as my baby gets older?
