Real-Time Ultra Sound in Cremorne

Mum Squad has done lots of work with Spinal Synergy Physiotherapy and it's fantastic news that they are now using real time ultrasound to help treat pelvic floor and abdominal issues. It is the best way to get to know exactly how your body is working after having children...and how you can make it work the way it should.

Easter Holiday Training

Looking forward to a great Easter Weekend? You bet.

Lots of people are going away so we've cancelled some sessions. But here are the sessions that will go ahead:

  • 6am April 3 (Good Friday)- 6am Good Friday run leaving from 169 Sydney Road, Fairlight. It is a 50 minutes out and back run via Shelly Beach, Queenscliff, Freshwater, Curl Curl  & up to curl curl. Not in the half Marathon Team? Make your run shorter and turn around at the 20, 25 or 30 minute mark. With a 6am start it will be an awesome sunrise over the Curl Curl Cliffs.
  • Saturday 7.15am with Childcare at Balmoral on Saturday April 4, 2015
  • Saturday 8.30am Elite Events Training with Childcare at Balmoral on Saturday April 4, 2015
  • Monday 7.30am Make-up Session with NO Childcare at Balmoral on Monday 6 April 2015

This is what's being cancelled:

No regular training on Good Friday 3 April 2015 (except for elite half marathon runners who will start at 6am at Fairlight for a Coastal Expedition)
No 6am Session on Saturday 4 April 2015
No 7am Clontarf Session on Saturday 4 April 2015
No 6am Fit4Dreams Group Session on Monday 6 April 2015
No 8.15am Mums Squad on Monday 6 April 2015
No 9.30am Mums Squad on Monday 6 April 2015
No 6.15pm Session at Kirribilli on Monday 6 April 2015

If one of your sessions has been cancelled due to the Easter Long Weekend please enjoy the break and book your make-up as soon as you can or make the extra effort to come to Balmoral on the Saturday at 7.15am.

Also a heads up for Anzac Day. This year the 25th of April is on a Saturday so there will be no training that day but I will hold make-up sessions on Sunday the 26th of April at Balmoral for both group training and the Elite Events Teams.

Inspirational Effort Stops Rain

Yesterday was a tough day. Cold, windy and wet. Stuck on the bike I was riding into town.
When I arrived at Camp David I stood up on the pedals, looking over to see if anyone was there, secretly hoping for an early shower.
Before you know it I'd slipped of the pedal and sprawled on the road with my backpack making me look like a turtle.
That was it for me. Cold, sore & wringing wet in heavy rain I was ready to talk Cathy Bradbury out of her Camp David session.
Well that wasn't on, Julia Bradbury arrived like the cavalry ready to go: "we're here now!" she says, "and Sally's on her way"
That was too much. Sally hates the rain but she said she'd be there and so she was. It was a first. Conditions were awful but such was the commitment of those three girls that they calmed the winds and almost stopped the rain by the end of the session.
Inspirational.

Bookings Close on 19 December 2012. Click here to book
Fitness People- your session will be Wet & Dry if the conditions suit so PLEASE bring your swimming gear AND regular training gear in case you need it.
Click here to see what Wet & Dry is like http://www.fit4dreams.com/wetdry/
If you don't want to go in the water, email back and ask to switch to games.
Games People quickly run through the games rules so you know what you're doing on Saturday.
Standby for team assignments and team colour dress requirements.
It's absolutely vital you arrive in time to check your kids in and be ready to go for 7am when we will have team muster… that's where you line up behind your team mascot.
No really, it's just a sign but you will have to pin on your team ribbons!
You'll also need a towel and change of clothes.
That means EVERY SINGLE PERSON needs to make sure they bring a change of clothes … can't say any more. A towel will probably be good as well.
Forms are required to take part in either the games or fitness. If you haven't filled them out before, you can click here to get your fitness questionaire & click here to get your waiver. Please return via email. (Heaps better than getting up early so you can do them before we start). The same goes if it's the first time you're bringing one of your children to one of our sessions. They'll need a form completed for them. The Childcare forms are also available by clicking here.
Timing
We'll start sharply at 7am. Games will be finished by 7.45am with the party finishing with a crescendo of excitement and evasive endeavour at 8.15am.
Food, Drink & Santa
We'll then have some fruit and drink before Santa arrives with small gifts. We'll also give out some awards for 2012. Generally people are heading off to the next Christmas engagement by 9.30-10am.
Take a trip down memory raod and see some fo the great christmas parties we've had before.. you may spot quite a few people you know and it's always nice to see how the children have grown.

3 Points Challenge Results & Starlight Sponsorship

The 3 Points Challenge this Saturday is a great race. So tough and exciting. Our team has worked really hard. George Kerswell, Glenn Rawlins and Tom Doyle have lost ten kilos or more, the centimetres have dropped form the hips and waists. Arms and thighs have got leaner on the girls and bigger on the boys. Couldn't have asked for better

Alya Cassidy lost 7cm from her waist, Justin Hooleys arms grew by a massive 10%. Natasha Parkers hips trimmed down by 4cm. But that's not all at the very best level people's 12 minute swim test improved by two and a half laps. That's right if Tom Doyle raced himself 2 and a bit months ago he would lap himself and still win by half a lap.

Most of the Guys are racing on Saturday and they need your support. It will be a warm day so get to the beach the cheer them on.... And if you can't be there, jump on board our fundraising efforts by Sponsoring the Fit4Dreams and Mums Squad Teams as part of the North Curl Curl Surf Clubs effort to raise money for the Starlight Make a wish foundation.
